Men's Golf

Men's Golf at The Rio Hondo Invitational. The Raiders ended up in a tie for 15th place in the "Art Teixeira Memorial Invitational" hosted by Rio Hondo College. The tournament was played in a hard rain most the time. Freshman, Matt Halfon was the only bright spot for the young Raider team shooting a team low 78.

21 California Community College golf teams played in this event at California Country Club (par 72). Moorpark College now has a 13-19-1 overall team record. The Raider's individual scoring: Matt Halfon 78, Ian Brown & Ryan Ritzau 82, Jon Gustin 85, Robert Timm 87, and Chris Baingo 88.

Top Three Teams: 1st, Santa Barbara City College, 374, T2nd, Palomar College and Rancho Santiago College, 376.

Men's Golf at Larry Carr Invitational. The Raiders ended up in 6th place in the "The Larry Carr" golf invitational hosted by Bakersfield College. Freshman, Ryan Ritzau and Chad Gillespie led the Raiders during this two-day event. 13 California Community College golf teams played the first round at Seven Oaks Country Club (par 72) and the second round at Rio Bravo Country Club (par 72). Moorpark College now has an 8-5 overall team record. The Raider's individual scoring: Chad Gillespie 73/81/154, Ryan Ritzau 77/77/154, Chris Baingo77/79/156, Robert Timm 83/77/160, Jon Gustin 78/85/160, and Matt Halfon 77/90/167.
