Alternate
Formats & Assistive Equipment
Text in alternate formats,
Text-on-Tape, tape recorders, wheelchairs, listening devices and
other assistive equipment and materials are available for eligible
students. Through the use of Braille, closed-captioning, enlarged
text, scan-and-read systems, and other technologies, ACCESS is able
to provide accessible media to all our students. Eligibility may
be based on vision, learning, mobility, or other types of disabilities.
ACCESS is a member of
Recordings for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D) and most of
our taped texts come from this source. We also recommend, and we
will be happy to assist, eligible students to complete personal
RFB&D memberships.
Requests for an alternate
format of any campus publication can be made by calling ACCESS at
(805) 378-1461
