| NOTE: CRN 31591 is part of the Learning Community CRISIS CINEMA: How are you influenced by the movies you see? Does the media accurately reflect the current issues of the day? This Learning Community will investigate contemporary social issues and how they are represented or misrepresented in film. Issues of sex and gender, race and ethnicity, and class and poverty will be studied. Film may include: "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," "Me, You, and Everyone We know," "American Psycho," and others. Students MUST enroll in both SOC M02 (CRN 31591) and HUM M08 (CRN 32496). |
