Dr. Eva Conrad, the eighth President of Moorpark College, is an award-winning community college administrator with nearly 20 years of community college teaching experience. In 2002, Conrad received the Leadership Award for Administrative Excellence sponsored by the Association of California Community College Administrators. ACCCA recognizes an administrator from one of the state’s 108 community colleges whose commitment to the profession exemplifies creativity and innovation, volunteerism, and commitment to the college and community.

Current professional commitments include board membership for InTeleCom, a consortium to provide/produce higher educational materials through distance education, and chair of the state's Commission on Athletics, a community college organization responsible for setting policies for intercollegiate athletics. Conrad also serves at the California State University at Northridge on the President's enrollment advisory group.Community service includes membership on the United Way of Ventura County board and on the Moorpark College Foundation Board.

Conrad has worked in community college management since 1992, and was the Moorpark College Executive Vice President for Student Learning, a position that blends management of instruction and student services, from August, 1997 to June, 2002.

Conrad has a M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. She taught psychology for 17 years at San Bernardino Valley College before moving into educational administration. She came to Moorpark after serving for three years as Vice President of Instruction at San Bernardino, where she supervised budget development for all instructional programs and participated in labor negotiations. In 1990, she received “Outstanding Professor of the Year and, in 1993, a “Women Who Make a Difference” award. Conrad is a graduate from Harvard University’s Institute for Educational Management (1996) and from the Ventura County Leadership Academy (1999).
