Need time to pay your fees?
Students who do not pay their fees in a timely manner may
have one or both of the following actions taken: Be dropped from their classes and required to enroll and/
or have a financial hold placed against their records which until paid will prevent all enrollment, drops, and
withdrawals, prohibit access to transcripts, grades, and limit access to certain campus services.
Students who drop classes after the refund deadline are held responsible for all fees owed. The refund deadline for semester-length courses for the SPRING 2008 semester
is January, 18 2008. The refund deadlines for Spring 2008 short-term courses and are specific to each class and can be found online at
www.moorparkcollege.edu/schedule.
Enrollment fees are set by the State and are subject to change without notice and may be retroactive; all
other fees are set by the Ventura County Community College District Board of Trustees and are subject
to change by Board action.

Students who register on-line will be quoted the amount of fees due as they complete their registration and may pay on-line by Visa, MasterCard,
American Express, or Discover, or send a check or money order to the Student Business Office. Students who register in person pay their fees at
the Student Business Office. Students eligible for financial aid should contact the Financial Aid Office at (805) 378-1462.
NEW FEE PAYMENT OPTION: Students may now choose the convenience of a payment plan to pay their registration fees. Details and
more information is available at www.students.vcccd.net.
Enrollment Fee – Mandatory $20.00 per unit, $10.00 per 1/2 unit, $5.00 per 1/4 unit.
Health Fee – Mandatory $16.00 for regular semester and
$13.00 for summer session. This fee enables us to provide you with a variety of
health care services. In accordance with the California Education Code and Board policy, students are required to pay a health fee, regardless
of the units taken, unless they meet one the exemptions listed below pursuant to Ed Code #76355.
- Any student who depends exclusively on prayer for healing in accordance with the teachings of a bona fide religious sect, denomination, or
organization. Documentary evidence of such an affiliation is required.
- Students attending college under approved apprenticeship training program under Education Code Section #76355.
Remote Registration Fee – $3.00 per semester. This fee is charged to any student registering on-line via WebSTAR

** A student who certifies that he/she regularly has two or more passengers commuting to college, will pay $30 per semester.
Students who receive financial assistance pursuant to any of the programs described in subsection (g) of Education Code Section #76355 shall be
exempt from parking fees in excess of twenty dollars ($20) per semester.
A parking permit is required at all times. Vehicles without permits must purchase a “One-Day Use Permit” for $1.00. This permit must be displayed on
the dash of the vehicle and parking is then permitted in all student lots. One-Day Permits can be obtained from any one of eight machines located in
parking lots. CITATIONS WILL BE ISSUED TO ALL VEHICLES (INCLUDING HANDICAP) WITHOUT A VALID PERMIT.
Instructional Materials Fee:
Instructional material fees for certain
selected credit or noncredit courses may be required at the time of
registration, or the materials may be purchased on your own. If an Instructional Material
Fee is required, the amount of the fee is listed beneath the course title in
the schedule of classes. Authority for the charge is granted under Ventura
County Community College District Board Policy 5030. These instructional
and other materials include but are not limited to text books, tools,
equipment and clothing if:
- The instructional and other materials required for the course have a
continuing value to the student outside of the classroom setting, or
- The instructional and other materials are used in the production of an
“end product” that has continuing value to the student outside the classroom
setting. See course schedule for instructional material fee costs.
Nonresident Tuition for Non-California Residents –
$175.00 per unit. If you are a nonresident student, you are required to pay the mandatory
enrollment and health fees in addition to nonresident tuition.
Foreign Student Capital Outlay Surcharge: $14.00 per unit. Students are required to pay the mandatory enrollment, nonresident tuition, and health
fees in addition to the foreign student capital outlay surcharge unless they meet one of the exemptions listed below pursuant to Ed Code #76142.
Application Fee (International Students): The Ventura County Community College District has adopted a non-refundable $50.00 fee to apply for
admission to Moorpark College. This fee covers the cost of federally-mandated documentation. Students are required to pay the fee unless they meet
one of the exemptions listed below pursuant to Ed code #76142.
- Students must demonstrate economic hardship.
- Be a victim of persecution in the country in which the student is a resident.
College Photo I.D./Associated Students (Optional): $10.00 per semester fee, $15.00 per year. Card holders receive reduced cost attendance at
college events, discounts for certain theater tickets and other commercial businesses.
Student Center Fee: $1.00 per credit unit, Maximum $10.00 per year – Students receiving benefits under CalWorks, SSI/SSP, or General Assistance
may be exempt from this fee. Contact the Financial Aid Office for further information.
Student Representation Fee: $1.00. The fee funds student representatives who state positions and viewpoints before city, county and district governments,
and before offices and agencies of the state and federal government. Authorized by Education Code Section #76060.5. May be waived for
religious, political, financial, or moral reasons. Contact the Associated Students Office at (805) 378-1400, ext. 1635.
Refunds/Credits:
(Enrollment fees will be refunded minus a $10 Administration Fee.) In order
to qualify for a refund or credit, a student must officially
drop a class or withdraw from school by the appropriate refund deadline
using one of the 4 methods described on page 114. The refund deadline for
semester-length courses for the Spring 2008 semester is January 18, 2008.
Short-term classes have different refund deadlines that are specific to
each class.
These deadline dates are available on-line at www.moorparkcollege.edu/schedule.
Students who officially drop classes by the appropriate refund deadline will have their Moorpark College account credited and may then request a
refund by the original payment method, or use the credited amount toward future registration fees. Students who are dropped for nonpayment or
nonattendance after the Refund/Credit deadline, you will be responsible for all fees owed. Refund request forms are available in the Student Business
Office and the Office of Admissions and Records.
PLEASE NOTE: You must turn in your parking sticker in order to receive a parking refund.
Nonresident tuition and the Foreign Student Capital Outlay Surcharge refund are based on the following: For classes lasting the full semester: Week
1 and 2 – 100% refund; Week 3 and 4 – 50% refund. For classes shorter than the full semester: 10% of class meetings – 100% refund; 20% of class
meetings – 50% refund.
