Nursing
Registered nurses are concerned with the promotion of health through direct and indirect client care and client teaching. The professional nurse has an interest in helping people; communicates effectively; possesses critical thinking and organizational skills; is flexible and has the ability to work collaboratively with other health care personnel; and never forget that they are patient advocates.
Moorpark college offers a two year curriculum designed to prepare the student for entry into the practice of professional nursing. The successful completion of this program entitles the student to an Associate of Science Degree, and meets the eligibility requirements to take the professional licensing examination to become a registered nurse.
This program is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing and is accredited by the National League of Nursing.
