received her BA in Art from California State University, Northridge, and a
Master of Fine Arts in Dance and Choreography from California Institute of
the Arts. She has been teaching Modern Dance, Ballet, Modern Jazz,
Improvisation, Choreography, Dance Appreciation and Technique in the
California Community College System since 1985. As a choreographer and
visual artist for 'renebaum choreography', a 'pick-up' dance company,
'Café Cocteau', a presenting organization and Moorpark College In-Motion
Dance Company, she has more than seventy credits in concert dance, theatre,
opera, the music industry and site-specific events. She has directed
‘Dancing Under the Stars’ for the Moorpark College Summer Arts Festival
since 1999. Ms. Baum continues her study of Dance Science by attending
annual International Association of Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS)
Conferences held in New York, London, San Francisco and Stockholm.
