The Moorpark College Biotechnology Program is one of three State of California with a comprehensive curriculum in biomanufacturing. The program also provides the training needed for employment in research and development. Scientists from the biotechnology industry worked with Moorpark College faculty in designing the curriculum and they also participate in the instruction of the program. The training provided is current, informative and directly meets the needs of the industry recruiting the workforce.
Three curriculum tracks are available to meet the diverse educational objectives of our students.
- AS Degree – for students who plan to transfer to a 4-year university
- Biotechnology Certificate – for students who plan to enter the workforce in biotechnology upon completion of the program
- Manufacturing Operator Certificate – for students who seek entry-level positions in industry requiring a minimum of training
