Baseball to host annual Raider Grand Slam Golf Tournament. The 2009 Raider Baseball Team will be hosting their annual Raider Grand Slam Golf Tournament. This year's tournament will take place January 19, 2009, at the Moorpark Country Club. A flyer and an application can be downloaded now. Men's Basketball makes it a 5-0 start. The Raiders defeated visiting Orange Coast College, 91-63, to improve to 5-0. Dwiught Jones led the Raider scorers with 14 points, Shane Foster added 13 points, while Braylin Bowman and Silvio Ari-Lisboa each added 11 points. Mike Rodgers had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. more

Women's Volleyball seeded #4. The WSC Champion Lady Raiders were seeded #4 in Southern California and will open regional play by hosting #13 Cypress College. Game is scheduled for Tuesday, November 25th, at 7:00 PM. This event is an official 3C2A event and no passes will be allowed other than 3CVBCA passes. A general admission will be charged.more

Women's Basketball defeats Santa Monica. The Lady Raiders defeated visiting Santa Monica City College, 70-42. Tiffany Hurd had a game high 31 points, going 10 of 14 shooting with 3 of 5 shooting beyond the arc. Reyneisha Mays added 8 points with 7 rebounds. Kristin Thomas added 16 points in the win. more

Wrestling at South Duals. The Raiders went 1-3 at the Southern California Regional Duals tournament. The Raiders were defeated by Cerritos, 18-32. In the second round, the Raiders tied East LA College, 23-23, but get the criteria win. In the consolation semis, Palomar defeated 12-43. more.

Cross Country at So Cal Regionals. The Lady Raiders cross country team finished in 12th place and earned a spot in the State Meet. The Lady Raiders were led by Madelyn Stoltze 18th place finish, followed by Kathleen Vance, 61st place, Maria Ruiz, 91st place, Kristen Cole, 98th place, and Kelly Smith, 125th place. On the Men's side, Cooper Claus was the lone qualifier for the State Meet.

The Moorpark College Athletic Department has renamed the Scholar Athlete of the Year Scholarship to the Jim Moore Scholar Athlete of the Year Scholarship to honor the first Athletic Director in school history. Moore passed away March 28, 2008. Those interested in donating to the scholarship can make checks payable to the MC Foundation and mailed to Moorpark College Athletics. You may also call (805) 378-1457, if you have any questions.

The Moorpark College Foundation has set up a memorial scholarship in the name of Dave Klinzing to annually assist any graduating student/ trainer transferring to a 4 year school. "Big" Dave tragically lost his life 2/26/04 on his way to school. He had been studying to be an athletic trainer.
