Women's Volleyball battles Cypress.
The Lady Raiders were swept out of the Southern California playoffs by #13 Cypress College. Savannah Thomas had 12 kills. Rachel Olynik added 10 kills and 8 digs.

Women's Volleyball seeded #4. The WSC Champion Lady Raiders were seeded #4 in Southern California and will open regional play by hosting #13 Cypress College. Game is scheduled for Tuesday, November 25th, at 7:00
PM. This event is an official 3C2A event and no passes will be allowed other than 3CVBCA passes. A general admission will be charged.

Women's Volleyball crowned WSC Champions. The Lady Raiders swept Ventura College, 3-0, to win the WSC Championship. It is the first championship since 2003. Game scores were 25-20, 25-22 and 25-22. Savannah Thomas had 13 kills
while Sarah Justin had 8 kills and 10 digs. The Lady Raiders now await play-off seeding.

The Lady Raiders defeated Cuesta College, 3-1. It was only the second time the Lady Raiders lost a game in WSC action. Game scores were 25-18, 19-25, 25-11, and 25-22. Savannah Thomas had 16 kills and 16 digs, while Roxie Ghasseni had 16 digs.

Women's Volleyball sweeps Ventura College.
For days, Steve Burkhart had been filling his team with underdog stories of past rivalry matches. So when the moment came, the Moorpark College women's volleyball team did not hesitate. Outside hitter Una Siljegovic had 13 kills and libero Roxy Ghassemi had nine digs as the Raiders wrapped up an unbeaten first swing through the first round of play in the Western State Conference's North Division with a three-game sweep of county rival Ventura on Tuesday night at Raider Pavilion. Moorpark (15-4, 5-0), ranked No. 8 in the state, swept Ventura 25-16, 25-18 and 25-15. "Our goal every year is to be No. 1 on Nov. 1," said Moorpark coach Burkhart. "That's where we're at. "Now it's just a matter of playing better against every team the second time around. The cross-county rivals combined from seven straight WSC titles from 1999 to 2005. Yet Burkhart presented his team with plenty of examples of conference-winning teams that dropped cross-county rivalry matches. "We've beaten Ventura when they were better and they've done the same to us," said Burkhart. That wasn't the case Tuesday, when Moorpark won 14 of the first 19 points, led by five early points from middle blocker Rachel Olinyk, along the way to taking the first game 25-16. Ventura (7-10, ) was within 14-11 when the Raiders ripped off seven of the next 10 points, including three Siljegovic kills. Several Moorpark players said they were disappointed Ventura didn't play better. Ventura coach Mandy Rodriguez agreed. "We hung with them and I didn't think we played well at all," said Rodriguez.

The Lady Raiders defeated visiting West LA College in three games. Scores were 25-6, 25-12 and 25 -8. This is West LA's first year after a 10 year hiatus from volleyball competition.

The Lady Raiders defeated San Joaquin Delta College, 3-0 and perennial power Long Beach City College, 3-1 on the first day. On the second day, the Lady Raiders were defeated by Glendale College of AZ, 2-3 and by El Camino College, 1-3.

The Lady Raiders took their first loss of the season against perennial power Goldenwest College, 1-3. In the second game, the Lady Raiders defeated Santa Monica City College, 3-0.
